According to him, improved nutritional status of young generation is very important. The easiest way is to consume a variety of foods to meet the balanced nutritional intake including milk that has the best nutrition consists of calcium, carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins and minerals.
"Consumption of milk is enough, to help children have a short-term memory better and help the growth of their bones," said Samuel. He added that the lack of substance in the milk will result in slower growth of children.
"Consumption of milk in Indonesia has increased from 7.7 liters per capita per year (2008) to 11.7 liters per capita per year (2010)," said President Director of Frisian Flag Indonesia, Cees Ruygrok. However, he said that figure is still on the order of the lowest compared with other countries in Southeast Asia such as Thailand or even Vietnam.
According to data from the Coordinating Ministry for People's Welfare, the number of cases of malnutrition in Indonesia continued to decline from 5.1 million cases in 2004 to 4.42 million cases in 2005 and in 2007 to 4.1 million cases.
