Don't Drink Tea in Pregnant | If you are breastfeeding a baby, avoid to consume the foods or drink that contain caffeine, like: Tea, Coffee, chocolate. Because, the caffeine contain will flow to breast milk that consumed by your baby.
Drink coffee, Tea or eating chocolate when b breastfeed can cause caffeine accumulation and symptom like difficult to sleep and quick in angry to baby, said pediatrician.
"This is because babies can not metabolize or remove the caffeine well," said Dr. Ruth Lawrence of the Department of Pediatrics, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, University of Rochester, New York, United States, as reported by the Times of India, Tuesday (20/3/2012).
Caffeine is found in products such as coffee, tea, and chocolate, including soft drinks and energy drinks.
Dr. Lawrence basing its response to the scientific and medical evidence relating to exposure to caffeine on the baby to feed breast milk (ASI).
"Usually a mother, especially if she is breastfeeding, are reminded to limit intake of caffeine," says Dr. Lawrence.
She was advised, after giving birth, the mother should try to avoid the accumulation of caffeine in the body.
Dr Lawrence made this comment in the Journal of Caffeine, a journal review of Mary Ann Liebert, Inc.
