A study published in the Archives of Ophthalmology involving more than 35,000 women showed that those who received the highest amount of pigments in the diet (6716 micrograms per day) had a 18 percent lower risk of developing cataracts.
5. Boost the immune system
The content of vitamin B6 is found in carrots and pumpkins have a role in blood cell growth and protein metabolism. Not only that, this vitamin also helps the immune system produces antibodies to fight disease.
